A girl with a certificate

Sorry for the quality of the pictures, I only took my pocket camera...

rings - H&M
necklace - Meine Namenskette
sneakers - Converse
Here are the pictures from the event I promise to tell you about. So, I travelled to Helsinki to the embassy of Germany. Last spring I took part in a language exam, Deutsches Sprachdiplom and I passed it. The exam is meant to be taken in the first year of upper secondary school (where I am at the moment) but I took it in 9th grade. This was the first part of the exam and after you pass the second part you are allowed to study e.g. at German universities. I'm planning to take the second part in two years' time. Anyway, I attended with my friend (her name is also Aada just with two A:s). The occasion was pretty short: there were two speeches, one boy played piano and then the certificates were given to us. After the official part we ate and drank a bit and wandered outside admiring the amazing place the embassy was located at. We returned to the city center for some shopping before taking the train back home. I was totally underdressed (awkward) but we didn't get any instructions about what to wear and because I was at school for a couple of hours I didn't feel like dressing up fancy clothes (of course I tried to pick up clothes that would be tidy). At least the snake printed pants (which I found for 13 € from a sale rack) were a bit more special.

Today I'm heading back to Helsinki and this time I will attend my language course's Reunion party. Can't wait to see my friends again!

Here lives a little fashionista

I'm really sorry guys for the massive break but there's been lots of things going on in my life lately: I started upper secondary school and I've been adjusting to that. I did plan taking pics but it has been raining almost every day these past weeks and when the sun finally came out I got a flue and had to spend my days in bed...Since I don't have any outfit pics at the moment I thought I could show you some "fashion pieces" from my room. Here they come!

First my ELLE Magazine collection which I'm really proud of;). I bought my first ELLE in May 2009 and from then on I've bought every single issue. I'm missing only ONE issue and I obviously can't get over that because I still remember that it's November 2009 with Dita Von Teese on the cover...I also have a couple of ELLEs from other countries but I keep them in my drawer.

I've told you earlier about these books but since they are related to fashion and I'm keeping them exposed in my room I'll show them to you again. Both of the Lauren Conrad's book I have already read at least once (I love her books) but  I haven't finished the Fashion book yet.

And then the highlight of yesterday! I thought I had lost my name necklace in London because I couldn't find it anywhere when I was packing. Yesterday morning I got a feeling I should check my dressing-case once more even if I had checked it at least 3 times. I honestly screamed when I found it in the case. Now I'm going to wear the necklace everyday because I was truly missing it...:D.

I know a lamp isn't necessarily a fashion-piece so let's call it a design piece. I was in need of a new lamp and after a long time searching I found this one. There was only one left in the store but luckily the sales assistant was so nice that he took this lamp off the ceiling so I could have it. I think the lamp is very modern and cool and the lights it creates to my walls are amazing!

So, this was a somewhat different post and I hope you liked it. I'm going to go now because tomorrow I am attending an important event which I will tell you about later. Have a nice Wednesday evening peeps!:)

Kiss kiss

Now I'm showing you my absolute favourite item I bought from London. I've been in a need of a new wallet for quite a long time. I thought that London is the perfect place to buy one. However I couldn't find a wallet made of leather anywhere...One day we visited Harrods (a world renowned luxury brands department store). Luckily enough they were having a sale at the same time I were in London. My friend saw this Marc by Marc Jacobs wallet first and showed it to me and I kind of liked it. I still had to think for a while but at the end I decided to buy it even though the price was pretty high. My logic: going to a language course is a ones in a life time experience so I might as well buy a little bit more expensive piece to remind me how amazing the whole trip was;).

Below you can see few more things I've bought during summer holiday:
This necklace I bought from the Making of Harry Potter. It's the time-turner Hermione used in the 3rd movie (those of you who have seen the movies know what I am talking about). I was having a hard time choosing between the Deathly Hallows necklace (it was silver) or this one because both of them were really pretty. After a discussion with my sister via phone I chose the time-turner because this one was more showy and had more details than the other necklace (not to mention that I tend to go for gold nowadays...).

rings - H&M (9 pcs 5,95€)
L'OREAL PARIS Color riche no. 602 Perle de Jade
L'OREAL PARIS Color riche no. 702 Black Swan
PS. What do you think of my new banner (it's still unfinished, though)?

Seeing red

dress - Nanso
belt - Zara
ring - Bijou Brigitte (gift)
lipstick - Rimmel London

First of all I'm not angry; the title only has to do with my outfit, heh. Anyway, last weekend we had a little barbeque session with my family. It was a really warm day so I wore my old dress from Nanso. It was perfect for having a dinner at our garden: casual but not shabby. In order to make the outfit a bit more stylish I added the polka dotted rose ring I got from my best friend, a leather belt and red lipstick (okay, the lipstick was mostly for the pictures because we all know how well your lipstick stays on when you eat and drink...). The meal was good even if it was a bit different from what we usually cook.
